When you are managing your own books, two things matter most: getting paid quickly and keeping your financial data accurate.

We understand that getting paid is often the most challenging part of running your business. For many small business owners, chasing down payments and manually reconciling invoices can consume hours of valuable time each week. Industry data consistently shows that when you remove the friction of writing checks or logging into banking portals, clients pay up to three times faster.

That’s why TrulySmall Accounting is fully integrated with Stripe, one of the world’s most trusted and secure payment processors, to let you accept online payments directly from your invoices. This secure, one-click checkout experience ensures funds are deposited into your account within days, not weeks.

Here is how connecting TrulySmall and Stripe transforms your billing process from a manual headache into an automated, highly accurate system.

Why TrulySmall + Stripe Makes Sense for Your Business

When a client receives your invoice, you want to remove every possible barrier that prevents them from paying it. With our Stripe integration, your clients can pay instantly using Visa, MasterCard, or American Express directly from the invoice. Depending on your location and business profile, you might also be able to accept other merchants like Apple Pay and Google Pay. Stripe will automatically assign the available payment methods for you.

But the real magic happens in your TrulySmall account. We built this integration specifically to solve the financial accuracy and administrative hurdles small business owners face:

How to Start Accepting Payments (In Under a Minute)

Connecting a world-class payment processor to your invoicing workflow sounds complicated, but we’ve engineered the setup to take less than 60 seconds.

Step 1: Configure your Business profile

Navigate to Settings > Invoicing in TrulySmall Accounting. Enter your business name, contact email (which will appear as the sender on your invoices), mailing address, and website details.

Step 2: Connect your Stripe account

In the Payments section, click the link to add your Stripe account. You can log into an existing Stripe profile or register a new one directly from the prompt.

Step 3: Verify your identity

Stripe will securely ask for basic information about you and your company to confirm your identity and link your banking details for payouts. Once verified, you will be redirected back to TrulySmall with a confirmation that your account is ready to use. Click Save.

Step 4: Send an invoice

You can now create and send invoices directly to your clients with a secure payment link attached. For a visual guide, follow the steps provided here.

Note: Online payment functionality is available for invoices issued in your business’s primary currency. As an added security measure by Stripe, the very first payout for a new account occurs 7 days after your first successful payment is received. Subsequent payouts will follow your standard payout schedule.
